"They play an easy system - they play long ball and fight for the second ball." - Ronald Koeman.

Tadic is the type of player i would of loved us to have signed, quick...lively and full of running.

The main difference was the way they pressed us high and their pass and movement in the middle of the field to carve us apart time and time again after we went 1-0 up. They forced us to play long as we was incapable of moving the ball quick enough to exploit the space they created in behind their midfield and with CFC up top it was never going to end well.

Clyne was very impressive and James WP looked like a prem regular for years not a 19 year old. They'll be up there come end of the season if they keep turning up to places playing like that.

It was a bad day at the office for us, particularly for Vaz and Nobes. We will play shit again at times this season it happens to everyone, lets not write us off just yet

I'll judge him on did famous 8 games...

If he has less than 8 points...he should be sacked...

Less than 16 points after 16 gsmed...most definitely SACKED...

making money from porn is easy.

go sell womens knickers in china and u will make alot of money.

it dont make u able to control a football club.

its a boys club with no real pressure on any position including manager.

penners28 is correct, it is baffling how we are getting away with it

the its takes time argument doesn't stack up when faced with the facts that Spurs and Southampton both had new manager.

right now, they know they are better than us at playing on the floor.

give us a chance, its our 1st season trying, it will take time

It was embarrassing to hear Saints fans singing that they play it on the floor but they had every right to taunt ... They know they we had a history or good football and now they are playing that way ... Even after so many transfers.

It's proper fucking depressing at the moment. Bfs must be on a wind up. Everyone seems to be questioning why he continues with cole. It's baffling to be honest.

I think Southampton started against Millwall with 8 or 9 of their starters yesterday & Tadic came on after half an hour due to an injury.
Won both games and finished full of running

I'm really pleased we rested all of our players on Tuesday though so they could put in such a top performance.

We should have e remote chance against Hull, but none to the latter's.
Without BFS we could beat both Hull and Manure

Re: West Ham v Southampton - Official Match Thread 1-3 FT
Yesterday was one of the worst performances I have seen in 40 odd seasons. Disorganised and lacking in fight.

Allardyce agrees of course but must be accountable. He is on a knife edge I thnk.

nychammer 4:44 Sun Aug 31
Re: West Ham v Southampton - Official Match Thread 1-3 FT
On the basis of yesterday I don't see any points in the next three games (hull, Liverpool, manure) and on that basis we will be bottom three and he should be gone.

Re: West Ham v Southampton - Official Match Thread 1-3 FT
According to the OS, Allardyce claims we're ''short on numbers''. Well Sam, here's a few numbers we're unfortunately not short of:

12
24
17
14 and 16 (on yesterday's showing)

I remember HUNDREDS left Old Trafford when Ashley Young got the 3rd last year, bout 30 mins to go too.

Re: West Ham v Southampton - Official Match Thread 1-3 FT
It was a poor performance, but in future if he can't put out an attacking forward line with Kouyate and Song holding fort in front of the back 4...then there really is no hope for Brontosauraus Sam

eddie - he really needs to be more concerned about what we do with the ball

Eddie B 2:18 Sun Aug 31
Re: West Ham v Southampton - Official Match Thread 1-3 FT
The thing that made me laugh was BFS moaning about the ref giving a corner instead of a goal kick. Nothing about our players switching off for a short corner for the SECOND time.

Re: West Ham v Southampton - Official Match Thread 1-3 FT
According to a few of the fat man's apologists; we'd have won yesterday if Nolan had played. Their excuses are now as hilarious as they are deluded.
